Rethink Music will host our second annual Berlin Venture Day, at Factory Berlin in Mitte, Berlin, on Friday, October 24th, 2014. The day will include networking sessions, discussions about entrepreneurship and the future of music, and startup pitch sessions.
For this edition, Rethink Music will present a hands-on workshop on the creation of new business models for music and visual imagery, with an emphasis on understanding the dynamics created by various legal policies.

Created by Berklee College of Music and Midem, Rethink Music focuses on exploring the changing worlds of the music and creative industries and gathers together very influential individuals in various fields, whose ultimate goal is to create a new roadmap for the music industry.
The Berlin Venture Day will provide the stage for the final of Rethink Music’s search for the “next music business entrepreneur.” Selected from over 50 entries from 17 different countries, a total of 12 investor-ready start-up projects from France, Germany, Sweden and the US, have been short-listed to pitch their venture to a panel of judges comprising experienced music executives and investors.

Produced by Berklee College of Music and midem, in association with Harvard University’s Berkman Center for Internet and Society, Rethink Music is a hands-on conference designed to bring music stakeholders together to discuss business models for the future, examine copyright challenges in the digital era, and analyse technological innovation in music and its distribution.
